What an awesome way to start 2025!
Early in January, I was invited to be a guest on a podcast show called ‘Obscure Orations’, with guests Taylor and Dana.

We got into a very wide range of subjects, using my book Extinction Event as a springboard.
Topics included:
- Fiction writing, particularly in context of artificial intelligence (AI)
- AI in general
- Music
- Mythology & religion, with reference to the many Easter eggs that I buried in Extinction Event as well as swirling around how religions of all stripes seem to be obsessed with the end of the world as we know it
- Animal communication
- The Hero’s Journey, using my collection of lyrics / poems for Bliss, paired with the experience that Covid and a pandemic had on my desire to write
- Going back to school when you’re in your mid-50s
